What is a Tension Headache?

The most common type of headache across the general population is a tension headache. They can be infrequent, episodic or chronic.

Tension headaches are not usually severe enough to interfere with activities of daily living and are frequently described as dull, aching, diffuse, non-descript headaches that occur in a hat band distribution around the head.

They are not associated with nausea, vomiting or made worse by activity.
